- Establish, manage, and enforce overall engineering coordination strategies, procedures, and reporting frameworks.
- Develop coordination plans, governance models, and performance measurement systems aligned with client and program objectives.
- Ensure integration of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities across all engineering disciplines.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of design packages, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with project requirements, codes, and standards.
- Implement technical quality assurance processes and track design milestones.
- Facilitate collaboration across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
- Identify potential conflicts, resolve technical issues, and ensure seamless integration of design solutions.
- Implement coordination tools and digital workflows to streamline design and execution.
- Monitor engineering progress against project schedules, identifying delays, risks, and corrective actions.
- Ensure engineering outputs are delivered on time to support construction and commissioning milestones.
- Collaborate with project controls and planning teams to align engineering timelines with overall program schedules.
- Lead identification, assessment, and mitigation of engineering-related risks.
- Maintain a robust engineering issue register, track resolutions, and escalate critical concerns to senior management.
- Conduct technical risk reviews and implement preventive measures to minimize design and execution impacts.
- Oversee preparation of engineering progress reports, dashboards, KPIs, and technical summaries for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical information in clear, actionable formats.
- Act as the primary interface between engineering teams, contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize engineering coordination tools, software, and digital platforms.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and collaboration.
- Ensure engineering data integrity and maintain comprehensive, audit-ready documentation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering coordination team.
- Build high-performance teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.
- Support training, certification, and professional development initiatives.
- Coordinate closely with project controls, construction, procurement, and operations teams to ensure alignment.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, design reviews, and integration meetings.
- Resolve technical and coordination issues proactively to maintain program momentum.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 25 years of experience in engineering coordination for large-scale, complex programs.
- At least 10 years in senior leadership roles managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong background in airfield/large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in design review, technical coordination, integration, and quality assurance.
- Expert knowledge of engineering coordination, technical standards, and design review processes.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency with engineering software, digital collaboration, and project management tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to present technical information to executives and stakeholders.
- Professional certifications (PE, PMP, PMI-PMP, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Experience managing multi-phase, multi-disciplinary programs.
- Expertise in digital coordination platforms, BIM, and workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of contract requirements, procurement processes, and construction methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, large-scale program environments.
