With a legacy of SR 3 billion worth of projects completed across 60+ sites and a team of over 400 skilled professionals.Work location: Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.The Senior Technical Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of complex systems and solutions, ensuring technical excellence, innovation, and alignment with business goals. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership and project management skills to guide cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for projects.
  • Lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, design standards, and architectural governance.
  • Project Management:
  • Plan and manage design-related activities across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and escalate issues as needed.
  • Design & Development:
  • Develop and evaluate design concepts, prototypes, and technical solutions.
  • Oversee implementation of design changes and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with user needs.
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers.
  • Assign tasks and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Quality & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or civil or architecture).
  • 7+ years in technical design or engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional technical teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, system architecture, and development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in tools and technologies relevant to the domain (e.g., CAD, Revit, and software frameworks).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with building and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments and quality management systems.
