- Manage the procurement process for mechanical materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure optimal pricing, quality, and contract terms.
- Review and approve purchase orders, contracts, and material submittals in alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure all mechanical materials and equipment comply with international standards and local regulations.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and logistics to avoid delays and maintain efficiency.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
- Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and cost-saving opportunities for mechanical systems.
- Handle claims, contract variations, and supplier disputes when necessary.
- Prepare and submit procurement reports, cost analyses, and risk assessments to management.
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 8β10 years in mechanical procurement, preferably in large-scale construction or MEP projects.
- Certifications: Procurement or supply chain management certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems, as well as mechanical equipment procurement.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong capability in cost analysis, budget control, and risk mitigation.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills in Arabic and English (Preferred).
