
Surgical Neurophysiology Consultant

- Perform intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) during neurosurgical, spinal, and other relevant procedures.
- Interpret neurophysiological data in real-time to assist the surgical team in preventing neurological injury.
- Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room staff to optimize surgical outcomes.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and advise on surgical planning where neurophysiological monitoring is required.
- Provide post-operative evaluations and contribute to case discussions and clinical audits.
- Mentor and train junior neurophysiology staff and contribute to departmental teaching programs.
- Participate in research, protocol development, and quality improvement initiatives
- Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
- Board certification or specialist registration in Clinical Neurophysiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, or related discipline.
- Fellowship training in Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (preferred)
- Proven expertise in modalities such as EEG, EMG, SSEP, MEP, BAEP, and related techniques
- Saudi Arab or American /European Board Certification or equivalent.
- Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required
- A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
- Dataflow is a must.
- Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, or related discipline.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council
- Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
- Positive professional references attesting to the candidate's skills and ethical conduct.
