- Design and develop fire protection systems including fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, and smoke control systems.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software.
- Conduct site assessments and evaluate fire risks in existing and new facilities.
- Ensure compliance with local and international fire safety codes (NFPA, IBC, IFC, FM Global, etc.).
- Review and approve fire protection designs and materials from contractors and vendors.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and testing phases.
- Participate in project planning and coordination with architects, contractors, and local authorities.
- Perform inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire protection technologies and industry trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in fire protection design or engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and fire protection design software (e.g., HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK).
- Solid understanding of NFPA codes and other relevant fire safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in fire protection (preferred but not required).
- Experience working in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects is a plus.
- NICET Certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology.
- CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist).
