Key Responsibilities:
Design & Detailing:
Create detailed fabrication and installation drawings for aluminum doors, windows, and related systems (e.g., curtain walls, skylights) using CAD software. or related window door software.
Material Selection:
Choose appropriate aluminum systems, glazing specifications, and hardware based on project needs and performance criteria (e.g., wind load, thermal performance).
Shop Drawings & Documentation:
Develop shop drawings, cutting lists, and installation guides for internal use and client approvals.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project supervisors, procurement teams, and fabrication personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct site visits and provide technical support during installation to resolve any design-related issues and ensure adherence to specifications.
Research & Development:
Contribute to the development of new glazing solutions or custom-engineered systems.
Compliance:
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, building codes, and project specifications.
Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve design-related issues that may arise during fabrication or installation.
Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals.
Cost Estimation:
Cost estimation and budgeting for projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Strong understanding of aluminum systems, glazing, and hardware.
Knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and fabrication processes.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in the design and fabrication of aluminum doors and windows is preferred.
