- Review company documents to ensure compliance with Tax and Zakat laws (including VAT, WHT, etc.)
- Ensure vendor invoices are fully compliant with Input VAT regulations.
- Coordinate, prepare, and respond to ZATCA audits and assessments, including Zakat, VAT, and WHT inquiries.
- Accurately prepare and file Tax, Zakat, VAT, and WHT returns in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper settlement of all direct and indirect taxes and reporting to authorities.
- Review all direct and indirect tax matters and ensure full compliance.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants on an ad-hoc basis.
- Prepare required documentation for transfer pricing.
- Complete responses and schedules in preparation for tax audits.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and analyses on an ad-hoc basis.
- Develop and recommend improvements to tax processes and policies to strengthen internal controls.
- Provide support to the Finance function on an ad-hoc basis.
- Responding to ZATCA in regards to E-invoicing.
- Review outgoing invoices to confirm accuracy of VAT amounts, tax treatment, buyer/seller data, and perform the needed corrections.
- Ensure correct classification of invoices (standard tax invoice, simplified invoice, debit/credit notes).
- Verify that invoices are generated sequentially and uniquely as required by ZATCA.
- Monitor the invoice transmission status (cleared, rejected, pending) in the system.
- Reconcile e-invoicing data with VAT returns to ensure no gaps or duplicates.
- Identify errors or inconsistencies and coordinate corrections with the concerned departments.
- Respond to ZATCA e-invoicing inquiries or notices regarding invoice validity.
- Prepare documentation for audits related to VAT, invoicing process, and ERP controls.
- Support internal and external auditors by providing required e-invoice data.
- Identify gaps in the e-invoicing process and recommend enhancements.
- Work with vendors or IT to optimize system performance and eliminate recurring issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory)
- Professional certification e.g., VAT Specialist (preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in tax, zakat, or a similar role within Saudi Arabia
- Demonstrated knowledge of KSA tax regulations (VAT, WHT, Zakat), evidenced by:
- Direct involvement in tax compliance activities
- Practical application in day-to-day operations
- Proven experience in preparing and submitting VAT and WHT returns in KSA.
- Strong data accuracy skills with the ability to prepare and review reports and filings with a high level of precision and reliability.
- Ability to prepare and deliver clear reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint، etc.).
- Experience using Excel for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
