Job Description: Senior Data Engineer (SSIS / Classic Stack)Location: Riyadh, KSADepartment: Data & AnalyticsExperience: 6+ YearsNote : This position is for the candidates who are based in Saudi Arabia Only.Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in the classic data stack, particularly SQL Server and SSIS. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, robust data models, and data marts.The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing a structured semantic layer, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and accessible data to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.Key Responsibilities1. Data Modeling

Design and maintain scalable and high-performance data models
Develop data marts aligned with business requirements
Apply best practices in data warehousing (Data Vault knowledge is a plus)

2. Semantic Layer Development

Build and maintain a semantic layer with clear definitions, hierarchies, and data structures
Ensure consistency and usability of data across reporting and analytics platforms

3. Data Pipeline Development (ETL)

Develop and manage ETL pipelines using SSIS and SQL Server
Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
Ensure reliability and availability of data across systems

4. Data Quality & Governance

Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data from source systems
Implement validation and monitoring mechanisms

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with business teams, analysts, and data scientists
Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions

6. Documentation & Standards

Maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, ETL processes, and workflows
Promote best practices in data engineering and governance

7. Mentorship

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Encourage adoption of best practices in ETL and data modeling

Technical Skills & Requirements

Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Expertise in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
Proficiency in:

Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers
ETL design and development
Data transformation and migration across systems
Experience in:

Performance tuning (query optimization, staging, parallel processing)
Debugging and optimizing ETL workflows
Database design, indexing, and security

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field

Experience

Minimum 6+ years of experience in:

Data engineering
Data warehousing
ETL development using SSIS

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Experience with Data Vault modeling
Exposure to modern data platforms or cloud environments
Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
