- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on a wide range of industrial machinery, including presses, conveyors, ovens, and other can-making equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, utilizing schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes.
- Perform corrective maintenance, including repairing or replacing worn, damaged, or faulty components such as bearings, gears, belts, chains, pumps, and valves.
- Conduct equipment inspections to identify potential issues and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of new or relocated machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and equipment status.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures.
- Collaborate with production personnel and other maintenance team members to optimize equipment performance and minimize disruptions.
- Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical systems and maintenance processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Diploma or Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in a high-volume production setting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
