We are HiringLocation - Al KhobarData Protection Officer (DPO)Position Overview:The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is responsible for overseeing the organization's data protection strategy and implementation to ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, such as the PDPL. The DPO acts as the point of contact between the company, data subjects, and regulatory authorities.Key Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance with applicable data protection laws and internal data protection policies.
Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures.
Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and risk assessments.
Advise and train employees on data privacy and protection best practices.
Handle data subject requests, including access, rectification, and erasure.
Serve as the liaison with data protection authorities and manage audits or investigations.
Monitor and report data breaches, coordinate incident response, and ensure timely notification to authorities.
Collaborate with IT, legal, HR, and other departments to embed data privacy into organizational processes.
Maintain records of data processing activities.
Stay updated on changes to data protection laws and ensure organizational alignment.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, IT, or a related field.
Proven experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or related roles.
In-depth knowledge of PDPL and other relevant data protection regulations.
Strong understanding of IT security principles and data processing operations.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent are a plus.or +966596861047
