
Expert System Maintenance Technician - Air Defense System

- Evaluating performance of radar and C2 equipment.
- Performing intermediate level maintenance in his specialty as required.
- Providing support to the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Depot) engineers\technicians in the field with any maintenance involving troubleshooting and repair of the radar and C2 systems to ensure the operability of the systems.
- Diagnosis and isolates complex electronic problems between the hardware, software and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) using a variety of electronic repair and fault isolation procedures such as system diagnostics, unit self-checks, BITE, and tools and test equipment.
- Log-book follow up and reporting.
- Inspection and periodic reporting of equipment serviceability.
- Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and travel to remote sites to perform software maintenance, troubleshooting and On the Job Training (OJT).
- Senior Technician diploma in Electro-mechanics / Electricity
- Specialized training and certification in each area of expertise with Radars or/and C2 in general.
- You speak English (French & Arabic are an advantage) with excellent communication and interpersonal relationship management skills
- Specialized knowledge and at least 3-5 years’ experience in the area of ground high power 3-D radar sensors and associated equipment, including all system hardware and software elements.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience on Radar or/and C2 systems.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge and experience with radar and/or C2 operation & maintenance.
- The technical knowhow should include Antennas, Processors, computers, monitoring, data transmission, plot extractors, power systems and other sub systems associated.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic circuits by visual inspection or by use of diagnostic software or test equipment.
- Experience in the use of test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, power meters, and signal and pulse generators to test, tune, align, adjust, calibrate, and troubleshoot communication equipment.
- Experience in a complex environment (multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary, matrix organization, customer interactions, etc)
- Good understanding of wider CONTRACTOR support services.
