- Work closely with clients to assess their current hard services management practices.
- Provide expert recommendations for improvements in the maintenance, repair, and operation of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies tailored to clients' specific needs.
- Optimize preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to maximize system uptime and efficiency.
- Ensure all hard services management practices comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., SFG20, NFPA, CIBSE).
- Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry best practices, advising clients accordingly.
- Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of third-party contractors and service providers.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
- Lead and manage hard services-related projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and closeout.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Provide technical guidance on the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on facility conditions, maintenance activities, and project outcomes.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in facilities management with a focus on hard services.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and related regulations/standards (SFG20, NFPA, CIBSE).
- Proven experience in developing maintenance strategies and managing vendor contracts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or similar certification.
- Certification in relevant industry standards (e.g., SFG20, NFPA, CIBSE).
