- Serve as the primary liaison with government authorities, representing the organization in regulatory discussions and official proceedings.
- Monitor legislative and policy developments, providing timely, in-depth analyses and strategic feedback during public consultations.
- Advocate for favorable regulatory outcomes by presenting evidence-based positions to relevant authorities.
- Conduct global legal research to benchmark and apply best regulatory practices.
- Manage statutory corporate matters, including Articles of Association (AOA) amendments, licensing, and related filings.
- Ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) through robust policies, procedures, and controls.
- Oversee alignment with National Data Management Office (NDMO) standards for governance, classification, and protection of data.
- Advise on regulatory obligations under the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) framework, including tax compliance and dispute resolution.
- Integrate PDPL, NDMO, and ZATCA requirements into corporate governance and operational processes.
- Represent the company in court hearings, arbitration, and other legal proceedings.
- Manage and resolve labor disputes while ensuring compliance with labor laws and safeguarding corporate reputation.
- Challenge governmental penalties, fines, and enforcement actions when necessary.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts to secure favorable terms and minimize risk.
- Maintain a centralized, well-structured repository of contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with obligations.
- Provide strategic counsel on contractual disputes and oversee resolution processes.
- Advise leadership on the legal implications of strategic decisions, operational activities, and marketing initiatives.
- Keep management informed of emerging regulations and their potential impact on business operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to embed legal compliance into policies, projects, and workflows.
- Deliver clear, actionable legal advice that supports organizational objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
- 3–5 years of progressive legal experience, including at least 2 years in a senior advisory capacity.
- Proven expertise in regulatory affairs, government relations, dispute resolution, and contract law.
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic is mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to influence regulatory outcomes and defend corporate interests before government bodies.
- Industry experience in ride-hailing under TGA oversight is highly desirable.
- Strong investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory issues.
- Exceptional negotiation, drafting, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of business operations with a proven ability to align legal strategy to commercial objectives.
