- Supervision of Mechanical Installations:
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems (Rotatiing equipment.).
- Ensure mechanical systems are installed according to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other site supervisors and teams to ensure the proper installation sequence and minimize downtime.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical technicians, tradespeople, and subcontractors.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on site-specific safety procedures and best practices.
- Monitor the performance of mechanical team members and ensure tasks are completed to the required quality standards.
- Quality Assurance:
- Perform inspections and quality checks on mechanical systems and components.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant standards, building codes, and regulations.
- Report and document any issues, discrepancies, or quality concerns to the Project Manager.
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety standards and protocols, ensuring the safety of all personnel on the site.
- Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks.
- Ensure that all tools, equipment, and machinery are in good working order and meet safety requirements.
- Scheduling & Coordination:
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules for mechanical works and ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to minimize delays and disruptions to the project schedule.
- Track and report on the progress of mechanical installations, highlighting any potential delays or issues.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of mechanical installation work, inspections, and testing.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for the Project Manager.
- Document any changes, issues, or modifications to the mechanical works.
- Budget and Cost Control:
- Assist in managing mechanical-related costs and expenses.
- Track material usage and ensure that resources are efficiently utilized.
- Report any deviations from the project budget or material wastage to the Project Manager.
- Problem-Solving:
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues or discrepancies that arise during construction.
- Provide solutions to technical challenges that may delay or hinder progress.
- Education and Experience:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction processes, and safety regulations.
- Proficient in reading mechanical drawings, specifications, and project plans.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is a plus.
- Valid construction site safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are an advantage.
