Join us.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of infrastructure projects, ensuring cost-effective delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for infrastructure projects, including materials, labor, and equipment
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from design drawings and perform on-site measurements to verify quantities
  • Monitor and report on project costs, identifying any deviations from the approved budget
  • Assist in the procurement process, including preparation of tender documents, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation
  • Manage subcontractor agreements and review invoices to ensure compliance with contract terms
  • Evaluate and manage variations to the original contract, preparing and submitting variation orders as needed
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress and verify completed work
  • Identify potential cost risks and suggest mitigation strategies to minimize financial impact
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and project documentation
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to address financial or contractual issues
  • Prepare final accounts and detailed reports summarizing project costs and variations
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and continuously improve cost estimation and reporting processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on infrastructure and civil engineering projects
  • Actively working towards or holding MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) accreditation
  • Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting for large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in quantity take-off techniques and measurement of civil engineering works
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC and FIDIC forms of contract
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in industry-standard cost management software (e.g., CostX, Causeway)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards in Saudi Arabia
  • Arabic language skills preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
