Role OverviewLead the mechanical & piping scope for gas conversion works, overseeing design reviews, retrofits of boilers, turbines & BOP systems, material selection, and commissioning activities. Ensure seamless integration of new fuel gas systems into existing infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:-Lead mechanical/piping engineering scope for gas conversion works within PMC services.-Review and approve design documents, including fuel gas piping layouts, isometrics, stress analysis, and GA drawings.-Oversee retrofit and modification of boilers, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and steam turbines to operate with natural gas.-Ensure proper integration of new fuel gas systems with existing gas turbines, steam turbines, and auxiliary systems.-Coordinate modifications to BOP (Balance of Plant) systems including compressors, pumps, valves, and piping tie-ins.-Supervise site surveys and interface management between gas supply lines, plant piping, and turbine/boiler systems.-Review and approve piping material selection, coating specifications (e.g., FBE), and valve types for high-temperature/high-pressure gas service.-Manage hydrostatic/pneumatic testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of modified systems.-Participate in HAZOP, 3D model reviews, and design validation meetings.-Monitor schedule, budget, and quality metrics, ensuring compliance with -MARAFIQ and international standards (ASME B31.3, API).-Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, EPC contractors, vendors, and MARAFIQ stakeholders.-Ensure full adherence to HSE requirements during all phases of execution.
