
Plant Accountant (Saudi National)

The Plant Accountant is responsible for managing and analyzing all financial transactions, reporting, and cost controls within a manufacturing plant. This role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with Saudi regulations, and supports strategic decision-making to maximize operational efficiency and profitability.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations specific to plant operations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and reconciliations
- Analyze trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments to predict future revenues and expenses
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost management activities; assist in annual budget preparation and new standard cost setting
- Monitor and analyze production and inventory costs, providing detailed variance analysis and cost control recommendations
- Ensure compliance with Saudi financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls
- Conduct internal audits, support external audits, and ensure adherence to relevant compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with plant management to provide financial insights and support operational decision-making
- Manage fixed asset capitalization, inventory adjustments, and related documentation
- Participate in month-end close processes, journal entry preparation, and bank reconciliations
- Support payroll processing and address employee queries related to compensation and benefits
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in accounting software (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems)
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabian tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance requirements
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to work with sensitive information
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluency in English required, Arabic is an advantage.
