Overview:Shangri-La is seeking a seasoned and strategic Account Director to lead our commercial efforts across the GCC region, with a strong focus on KSA. This high-impact role will represent our iconic luxury property in Jeddah-and will be responsible for cultivating relationships with Private Offices, Royal Families, Protocol Departments, Travel Agents, and Embassies operating within the GCC.As Account Director - GCC Market, we rely on you to,Client Relationships & Market Development
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNWI), VIPs, and key decision-makers across the GCC.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients engaging with our property, ensuring personalized and exceptional service.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with travel agencies, corporate companies, embassies, and protocol departments.
Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Drive revenue growth through targeted sales strategies and account management.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities including leisure groups, corporate accounts, and high-value events.
  • Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets across all represented properties.Develop and execute strategies to grow MICE business and expand market share.
Market Insights & Strategy
  • Provide expert insights into GCC market trends, client preferences, and competitive landscape.
  • Customize sales and marketing initiatives to align with regional expectations while upholding Shangri-La's brand standards.
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, networking events, and industry forums.
Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with the GCC Global Sales team and hotel sales teams to ensure unified communication and strategy.
  • Partner with the operations team at Shangri-La Jeddah to ensure seamless client experiences.
  • Coordinate with regional marketing and revenue teams to optimize cross-property promotions.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Deliver monthly reports on account performance, market trends, and revenue forecasts.
  • Continuously refine sales strategies based on performance data and market feedback.
What we are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in luxury hospitality sales, with a strong network in the GCC.
  • Proven success in managing HNWI and VIP accounts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
  • Willingness to travel across the GCC and internationally as needed.
