- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with construction industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
- Ensure compliance with project-specific quality requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable construction regulations.
- Oversee QA activities across all construction projects, including planning, audits, and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct project reviews to ensure proper implementation of quality standards and compliance with design and construction requirements.
- Establish and manage inspection and testing programs for construction materials, structural components, and workmanship to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Review and approve quality plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and method statements.
- Ensure that all construction projects comply with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during external audits, inspections, and certification processes.
- Lead investigations into construction defects or quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with project teams to address non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure effective closure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of QA/QC experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record in managing QA/QC on large-scale construction projects, such as infrastructure, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, ACI).
- Familiarity with quality tools and techniques such as FMEA, SPC, and CAPA.
- Knowledge of construction management software (e.g., Primavera, AutoCAD, BIM tools).
- Proficiency in quality software and reporting tools (e.g., Minitab, SAP QM).
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and analysis.
- Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and drive quality initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities for identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
