- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and systems in accordance with national electrical codes (NEC) and company standards.
- Set up electrical circuits, outlets, panels, and switches for new construction, renovation projects, or equipment upgrades.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Diagnose electrical issues, such as faulty wiring, circuit malfunctions, or power outages, and provide effective solutions.
- Replace or repair damaged electrical components, including motors, switches, fuses, or wiring.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents by properly handling electrical tools, protective equipment, and materials.
- Install and maintain grounding systems and other safety features to prevent electrical hazards.
- Test electrical systems using specialized tools and meters to verify performance.
- Upgrade electrical systems or equipment as needed to improve efficiency, meet new standards, or accommodate new technologies.
- Complete service reports, record findings, and document repairs, installations, and tests conducted.
- Track and manage inventory for electrical parts and materials used in maintenance and repair work.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain electrical issues, potential solutions, and estimated costs for repairs or upgrades.
- Provide recommendations for improvements or energy-saving solutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or a degree in electrical technology or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience 2+ years as an electrical technician, electrician, or in a similar role.
- Electrical certifications (e.g., Journeyman, Master Electrician) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces, high places, and outdoor environments.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. or more) and stand or bend for extended periods.
- May require work in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends or on-call availability for emergency repairs.
- Travel to various job sites, as necessary.
- System Installation and Maintenance: Efficiently install and maintain electrical systems to ensure maximum functionality and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including inspections, repairs, and inventory management.
