- Prepare and submit promptly the detailed cost estimates for all phases of projects.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities for tendering purposes.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Manage variations and claims, evaluating the impact of change orders.
- Provide financial forecasts and maintain detailed financial reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to optimize the project's financial performance.
- Monitor and report on cash flow and financial aspects of the project.
- Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors and provide training as necessary.
- Assist in risk management and help develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during all stages of project execution.
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
