- Bachelor's degree in metallurgical, mechanical, or chemical Engineering, or any other related field.
- Experience in corrosion engineering, with a deep understanding of relevant specifications, standards, and best practices.
- At least 10-20 years of experience in corrosion engineering, preferably in the infrastructure development sector.
- Strong understanding of relevant corrosion specifications, standards, and programs (e.g., IPA and NACE).
- Knowledge of material selection, coating technology, and corrosion control inspection techniques.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
- NACE/AMPP or equivalent certification in corrosion control preferably.
- Assess materials and evaluate corrosion risks in pumping stations, pipelines, and storage facilities.
- Implement corrosion-protection programs.
- Develop inspection methodologies.
- Advise on material selection and maintenance strategies.
- The Corrosion Engineer will assume a vital responsibility in establishing robust and dependable standards for the development and maintenance of the General Authority for Irrigation's infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on corrosion control.
