Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Data Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in architecting and managing our data solutions, ensuring that our data infrastructure is optimized for performance and accessibility. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to leverage data-driven insights to enhance business operations and strategic decision-making.Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to design and implement scalable data pipelines, applying best practices in data governance, and providing support for our analytical needs.Key Responsibilities
  • Build, deploy and maintain data pipelines across multiple environments using data pipelines in Google Cloud using services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Composer.
  • Responsible for ensuring that our organization's data is accessible, manageable, and analyzable in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Play a crucial role in the integration, transformation, and maintenance of data systems that leverage Google Cloud.
  • Implement data collection and ingestion strategies in Google Cloud, ensuring optimal data quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization on all related data products/projects and advise on best practices and contribute to the technical design decisions.
  • Document all architecture decisions, implementation details, and operational procedures in a clear and concise manner for future reference and training purposes.
  • Assist in planning and executing proof-of-concepts and pilot projects to evaluate new tools or approaches.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with programming languages like Python or Java.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
