Job Description:KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIESPlanning and Strategy
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles and plant equipment to assess compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Perform visual assessments, functional testing, and analysis of safety features, ensuring that all components are functioning properly and in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Document all findings and maintain detailed records of inspections, including photographs, diagrams, and written reports.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address any identified safety concerns and provide recommendations for appropriate corrective actions.
  • Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and share expertise with colleagues.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing process enhancements to optimize inspection procedures.
People Management
  • Collaboration: Foster teamwork and collaboration with the QA/QC Vehicle Recovery and Maintenance team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency, making necessary adjustments to achieve targets.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
  • Problem-solving: Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve operational and technical challenges related to vehicle recovery and maintenance.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and transparent communication channels, ensuring changes in procedures or processes are understood
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience working in a QA/QC role, preferably in the automotive or transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle Inspection and recovery procedures.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate issues and recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using quality control tools and software to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability and willingness to embrace changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in Mechanical Engineering.
