If you're driven by scale, impact, and the chance to build something iconic from the ground up, Qiddiya is calling for you.Role Summary:The Senior Project Engineer - Design supports the Design Lead Engineer in delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable transport design solutions for the Transport Business Unit (TBU). The role is responsible for coordinating design activities across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with Qiddiya's unified design principles, technical standards, and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage design deliverables in collaboration with internal teams, external consultants, and key stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:1. Assist the Design Lead Engineer in managing the design of lifecycle for transport projects, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's design framework and governance processes.2. Coordinate with engineering, planning, operations, and project delivery teams to ensure design consistency and integration across all TBU projects.3. Review design submissions from consultants and contractors, verifying compliance with technical standards, design principles, and regulatory requirements.4. Support the preparation and facilitation of design reviews, capturing and tracking actions through to resolution.5. Liaise with external stakeholders, including government entities, regulatory authorities, and service providers, to secure necessary design approvals and permits.6. Monitor design progress against schedules, budgets, and milestones, escalating potential risks or delays to the Design Lead Engineer.7. Maintain and update design documentation, templates, and technical guidelines in coordination with the Design Lead Engineer.8. Contribute to the development of innovative, user-focused, and sustainable transport design solutions.9. Research and apply emerging technologies, materials, and design practices relevant to transportation infrastructure.10. Provide technical support to project managers, ensuring design deliverables are accurate, complete, and ready for integration into construction and delivery phases.Requirements:Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Education from a recognized, top-tier institution is desirable.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in digital engineering, project management, or a similar role within large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
