Woodston Personnel is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join our client’s growing Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic physician to provide expert emergency care in a modern, well-equipped environment that supports excellence in clinical practice, innovation, and patient-centered care.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeliver expert emergency care to patients presenting with a full spectrum of acute medical, surgical, trauma, and psychiatric conditions.Provide timely assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and management of critically ill or injured patients of all age groups.Perform and supervise emergency procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, chest tube insertion, procedural sedation, fracture reduction, and advanced resuscitation techniques.Lead major trauma and resuscitation efforts and function as a team leader in high-acuity scenarios.Supervise and support junior doctors, emergency medicine residents, and other clinical staff during shifts.Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork within the Emergency Department.Liaise and coordinate with inpatient teams, subspecialists, intensive care, and surgical services to ensure continuity of care.Participate in the teaching and training of residents, interns, and medical students.Conduct case-based discussions, simulation sessions, and contribute to departmental continuing medical education (CME).Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.Participate actively in clinical governance activities including mortality and morbidity reviews, root cause analysis, and quality improvement projects.Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of clinical guidelines, protocols, and care pathways in line with evidence-based practices.Uphold standards in clinical documentation, patient safety, and risk management.Engage in research activities within emergency medicine and support institutional research priorities.Present at academic forums, conferences, and contribute to publications where applicable.Participate in departmental planning, development of policies, and operational improvements.Serve on hospital committees as delegated by departmental leadership.Full time contracts with excellent renumeration and benefits availablePlease apply with your CV to register your interest in this role.Essential Qualifications (One of the following certifications is required):American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM)Canadian Board Certification (FRCPC or CCFP-EM)UK Certification of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT/CCST) in Emergency MedicineFellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM)Facharzt in Emergency Medicine (Germany/Europe)Minimum of 3–4 years of independent clinical experience post-board certification or fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the consultant or attending physician level.
