- Provide person-centered care and consultations to both inpatients and outpatients within the area of expertise.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures adhering to the highest standards of care and within approved privileges.
- Complete all medical documentation and reports promptly and professionally.
- Foster collegial relationships and collaborate with physicians, nurses, allied health providers, and administrators across departments and districts.
- Share on-call responsibilities as needed and respond to emergency requests for assistance from all facilities.
- Actively participate in various staff, clinical, educational, and research meetings.
- Contribute to educational activities by attending Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, and facilitating professional development.
- Participate in interdisciplinary, interdepartmental, and quality improvement activities including committee service.
- Respond promptly to COMPANY queries regarding medical documentation, coding, patient concerns, or risk management.
- Graduation from an approved medical school.
- Completion of a one-year internship in a recognized training program.
- Residency certified training in Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, or Emergency in a recognized training program.
- Fellowship training in critical care medicine from a recognized program.
- Three (3) years of practice in critical care with demonstrated expertise.
- In the UK system, at least two years of registrar jobs in critical medicine post-qualification in Internal Medicine or Anesthesia and at least one year of registrar job in the intensive care unit.
- Valid license to practice medicine.
- American/Canadian Board or equivalent certification.
