Role SummaryThe BIM Manager serves as the technical lead for all Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Digital Twin initiatives at UNIMAC. This role is accountable for developing and enforcing BIM standards, managing multi-disciplinary coordination, and optimizing workflows throughout project lifecycles — from design to handover.
The position also promotes the integration of innovative technologies including 4D simulations, XR walkthroughs, automation tools, and data analytics, while ensuring full compliance with project requirements, authority regulations, and internal quality procedures.B. Major Duties and TasksPhase & Core Duties
Project Setup
- Prepare BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), modeling protocols, LOD matrices.
- Establish Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols.
- Manage stakeholder access rights and modeling permissions
- Oversee multi-disciplined models (Architectural, Structural, MEP).
- Lead clash detection using Navisworks and ensure issue resolution.
- Ensure modeling compliance with ISO 19650, GSAS, and project-specific BIM guidelines.
- Integrate construction timelines using Primavera P6 and Synchro Pro for 4D visualizations.
- Support planning and sequencing decisions through video simulations.
- Automate repetitive tasks using Dynamo and Python.
- Support shop drawings, RFIs, and change requests.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date models are integrated with asset and FM systems.
- Maintain the physical-to-digital accuracy of models throughout asset lifecycle.
- Drive innovation using XR tools and automation scripting.
- Conduct training and mentorship for BIM teams.
- Participate in global BIM conferences and ongoing professional development.
- Direct Reports: BIM Coordinators, BIM Engineers, Modelers, Document Controllers
- Key Interfaces: Design Manager, Construction Manager, IT Department, Facility Managers, External Consultants, Regulatory Authorities
- Decision Rights:
- Approval of BIM models and execution plans
- Authorization of coordination reviews and clash reports
- Acceptance/rejection of deliverables that do not meet modeling standards
- Escalation of design issues affecting project timelines or quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural engineering or equivalent
- Master’s in Global BIM Management (preferred or in progress)
- Master's in Global BIM Management (preferred or in progress)
- 8–12 years in BIM roles, including experience as a BIM Coordinator and Man
- Experience in public, healthcare, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred
