This is a teacher of English Literature and Language, not EAL. English degree + teacher training and Secondary/High School English Lit teaching experience needed. Must be native English speakerA qualified and experienced English Literature and Language to GCSE specialist is needed for a family in Saudi Arabia. Based in Riyadh, but with travel required mainly within Saudi. Working as part of a small team of specialist subject teachers, the role is comprised of a mix of some full-time teaching and some after-school teaching, depending on the travel and school schedules. This role reports to the Curriculum Coordinator and requires working as part of a team of private teachers, and interfacing with school normally attended by the children to cater to their academic needs.
- Children’s profile: Primary to KS 3/4
- Curriculum: Cambridge (UK), adapted to include progressive and project-based learning
- Hours/days –48 hrs per week, including contact and prep time.
- Travel: periodic local travel within Saudi Arabia is required.
- 18,000-20,000 Saudi Riyals per month (appx US$4800-5300), tax free

- Bachelors degree in English Literature and Language (not ESOL/TESOL/EAL)
- Completely fluent in English (Native English speaker or equivalent)
- Qualified/certified teacher of English Literature and Language **not TEFL/TESOL/ESOL/EAL**), at Secodary level to GCSE
- Minimum of 2 years of High School/Secondary School English s teaching experience
- Culturally sensitive, professional approach, very flexible and adaptable, both personally and professionally
- Experienced in one of the following curricula: Cambridge, UK, US, IB, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or another progressive, project-based, high-quality curriculum. GCSE strongly preferred
