- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape within the industrial construction sector.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the company's presence in the industrial construction market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and requirements to effectively position our services.
- Generate leads through various channels including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events and conferences.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, bids, and presentations to potential clients, showcasing our capabilities and value proposition.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure profitable deals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with internal teams including project management, engineering, and finance to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to industrial construction, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions, providing regular reports and updates to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in a senior business development role within the industrial construction sector.
- Strong understanding of industrial construction processes, project lifecycle, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
