Job Description:Qiddiya Investment Company is in search of a highly skilled and motivated Director - Technical Services to oversee the technical operations within our exciting projects. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing excellence of our technical services, particularly in the operations related to Qiddiya's diverse entertainment offerings.The Director of Technical Services will lead a talented team, managing key technical aspects including engineering, maintenance, and compliance with safety standards. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in technical operations, along with a passion for guest experience and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management of Technical Services
o Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Technical Services team.o Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence among staff.o Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluation processes.
  • Operational Expertise
o Oversee the daily operations of Technical Services, ensuring optimal performance of attractions and facilities.o Lead health and safety initiatives in compliance with industry regulations and standards.o Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all technical operations.
  • Service Excellence
o Enhance guest experience by ensuring the highest quality in service delivery and operations.o Utilize data-driven insights to prevent downtime and improve asset management.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management
o Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring effective cost control.o Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making for Technical Services.
  • Collaboration and Communication
o Collaborate with various departments to align technical services with overall project objectives.o Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and partners to support ongoing initiatives.
  • Technical Proficiency
o Utilize relevant software and tools, including maintenance management systems, to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Safety & Risk Management
o Implement rigorous safety and risk management protocols to mitigate operational risks.Requirements:
  • - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field; Master's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in technical services within the entertainment or theme park industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams (50+ personnel).
  • Strong knowledge of technical operations and maintenance standards related to attractions and facilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial management, and cost control practices.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, especially in relation to ride safety and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships across various teams.
  • Experience with data analytics and performance management systems to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Proven capability in resolving technical challenges and making strategic decisions effectively.
