- To provide advice to the client on effective strategies to manage and control all FM services in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- To lead in the development and ongoing reporting of management information.
- Proactively work with all stakeholders to ensure appropriate services are provided and delivered to the desired level of quality and performance.
- Lead, coach and develop the contract-based team to ensure operational tasks are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Monitor all work in progress to ensure that quality, statutory code, and operational standards are met.
- Ensure delivery of the joint business plans together with relevant stakeholders and partners.
- To ensure governance processes are managed and risks mitigated.
- To ensure that disputes are resolved at the lowest level possible and in the most expedient fashion.
- To ensure that employer and client risks are adequately managed.
- To work in partnership with the stakeholders and partners to identify new innovations that can bring a benefit to the contract.
- Ensure statutory compliance is maintained across the contract and ensure that proactive monitoring plans are in place that adhere to best practice in facilities services.
- To support the client, where applicable, in the event of any emergency or disaster, ensuring appropriate communication links between all parties.
- Ensure the Health & Safety policy and minimum standards are adhered to by outsourced facilities suppliers.
- Monitor supplier's performance against statutory maintenance obligations to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
- Ensure that third party contracts are reviewed, monitored and tendered in a compliant way in order to maintain an effective operation.
- Define and agree measurable and achievable Key Performance Indicators with outsourced suppliers and/or relevant client business units.
- Drive improved performance from outsourced suppliers against KPIs through a clearly established link with Service Level Agreements, Pricing Schedule(s) and potential incentivisation mechanisms.
- Conduct regular audits across the portfolio to ensure performance consistency against agreed KPIs.
- Conduct and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the industry and trade associations, representatives of government, customers, and vendors as necessary.
- Working with the Business Development and Commercial teams, identify areas of expansion and market opportunities.
- Manage and coach contract team and be accountable for their performance. Review and evaluate performance on a continuing basis and establish proper measures of performance management as required. Support the professional development of the contract team.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of operating expenses, including the management of all financial elements such as revenue generation, cost controls, and financial performance and collections
- Engineering Degree and/or technical diploma in facility or industrial maintenance/management.
- 20 years' experience in Facilities Management.
- 10 years' experience in an environment where a facility is considered Iconic or unique and is of similar high visibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
